About Next Generation
The Next Generation Program is an effort through strategic faculty hiring to build strength around core and innovative research and scholarship by adding faculty excellence to interdisciplinary research topics, investigating pressing issues facing our society and the world.
The Next Generation Program continues the success of the university’s Second Century Initiative, which has raised the level of external research funding, quality of research and scholarship, and the university’s reputation for innovative research and scholarship in areas critical to solving problems of the 21st century.
